Compare The Quality Of Live Video Streams At The U.S. Open

The U.S. Open started this week, and while I’m not a big tennis fan, it does provide the opportunity to see various live video streaming technologies compete against each other (and all for free).  Plus, since tennis is often a fast moving sport, you can see how these various streams handle motion (which often causes pixelation in live streaming video).

So here are the different places where you can compare live streams, in real-time:

Official U.S. Open web site, which streams live matches in HD to U.S. residents…click here

The Tennis Channel…click here

Justin.TV…click here

Ustream.TV…click here

And…if you happen to own an iPhone, you can get live scores (and pre-recorded video snippets) with a free iPhone app from iTunes…for info, click here
