Power To The Podcast!

Just for grins, I did a similar search for the topic of one of my video podcasts. The keyword was "lead trust."

The Google natural search returned 45,800,000 pages. I can't even count that high. I only looked at the first 50 results and my video was no where to be found. No big surprise here.

However, when I clicked on 'Videos' on the top navigation bar, my video showed up in positions 1, 2, 5, 7, and 8. Bummer. Only 5 out of the top 10. Oh well, nobody's perfect.

I did much better on the right side of the page. My vid is the big 'featured' video, plus I garnered all three Related Video positions.

On this page the following video sharing sites were represented: 5min.com, dailymotion, yahoo video, youtube and revver.

Last, when I click on Hide Options, I see my vid in positions 1, 2, 5, 7 and 8. Over on the right side it again is the 'featured' video and has all three of the Related Video positions. So all told, the video captured 9 of the possible 14 slots.

Power to Podcasts!

For those who have not put up a podcast or those who are not a student of Dave's Web Video University, let me just say that 9 months ago I did not own a camera and had no clue about anything. Everything I learned came from Dave K and Club WVU. With these kind of results up against 45 million pages from a traditional approach, I feel like my investment in video education was well worth it.
