I would like to know what is considered spamming the video sites, and what determines quality content. If we are to be producing videos on behalf of clients hoping to be found online and for particular keyword phrases, what is the criteria we should adhere to? For example, is it spamming to place video ads using local keyword phrases that help people find an area dentist?
When quality content is considered, does it mean we should be sure to include free advice, discounts or bonuses to be ranked in the search engines? Or do we need to make our videos entertaining and thought provoking? Are you suggesting services like Traffic Geyser and the such are going to become obsolete?
If this is so, why should we concentrate on developing our video skills and creating video businesses? What exactly is “quality content”? I would appreciate your input and any insight you may have regarding the direction the industry is headed.
Wishing Success,
Bob Costello
“Content” means, in the most basic sense, it contains no advertising. A newspaper article is content. An ad in a newspaper is an ad…no matter how it’s veiled.
You are certainly free to develop your video skills in marketing (and should), however, the point is that relying on video sharing sites to get your marketing message across will one day lose it’s effectiveness.
A better long-term strategy is to build a site that people want to return to again and again because of the content. Then you can freely place your marketing message on that site.
