@Di Di...

1. Get this course: http://webvideouniversity.com
2. Create cool video, from what you learn in course.
3. Make sure it's in "flv" format.
4. Upload to Amazon (if you want)
5. Get your flash (JW) player code from LongTailVideo
6. use their "wizard" to reference the location of your video.
7. Copy and paste that code into your website.

Oh - I forgot to mention... Steps 3-7 are in course too! :-)

Amazon S3 is just like a big hard drive...it stores stuff for you (like your videos).

So you'll still need to come up Flash players and embed code for your video. And the embed code is different for every Flash player.

I cover exactly how to do all of this in my courses.

If you put your flash videos up
on Amazon's S3 Storage site ....

and say you've created the
flash video in one of the programs which
you reccommend ..

Do you have to upload a flash player
into your Amazon S3 account so they will
play ?

How will you embed that flash video
into your webpage when it resides on
Amazon S3? Is there coding somewhere
I can swipe and paste.

Watching these videos on this blog
are an eyeopener. I have not learned
as much ..whether it is watching
Vegas Tutorials or any of the other
video internet learning series.

Thanks Dave.

@Gadabout - Yes, there is. It's not as straightforward as the other software you mention though.

For full details, you'll have to reference the Flix manual. An online version is available here:

Great Stuff Dave:
Question about the Flix player!

I know FLV Producer creates the code
to paste on your web page and wraps
your video in a player ...

But I've recently bought the FLIX
player .. and it will produce a second
page .. but is there a way to get it
to produce the code as easily as FLV
producer, or google or youtube .. to
place in my web page ..???

thank you .. very informative stuff.

I use Camtasia Studio to edit and convert my video's into the flash format.

The problem I had recently was finding out how to embed these video's into the latest version of wordpress.

I searched around for quite some time and experimented with a couple of things but none of them actually worked. Then I was told about a wordpress plugin called 'wordtube' and this worked beautifully. I have 3 blogs and I use the 'wordtube' plugin on everyone of them.

John - You only need one Flash player to play multiple video files.

But I would recommend against putting multiple videos on a single page, because when someone lands on that page, all of the videos will (likely) have the first few seconds download...and this can make your page very slow to load.

Instead, just put thumbnail images on the page. Then when people click the image the video opens in it's own separate page (like on this site).

Very cool!
I was wondering .. when you have several
videos uploaded on your page .. do you
need more than 1 flashplayer ?

For example .. if several people go
to your page and play videos at the same
time ...

Nice stuff ...
