@Vic – Yes, but once a 7 project is loaded in 8 or 9, it can no longer be used in 7.

@Vic – I use both Vegas Pro 8 and Vegas Pro 9.

I believe 7 does 3D composting, etc. but that version is over 3 years old, I no longer have a copy and can’t remember for sure.

Can Vegas Pro 7 do the 3D compositing and does
it have the titling editor ?

I never figured you’d take my question and turn it into a full fledged “how to” video. Your explanation allowed me to create my own twin video within about 60 seconds.

Thank you so much for doing this. I can see that it’s very easy to do yet having a full dialog where Person A talks then Person B and back and forth would be very difficult.

But it’s simple enough to just put stuff to music! Thank you very much.

Also what camera are you using that get’s such great web quality?

@Gee – The process is identical on a Mac…except for applying the mask filter.

To apply the mask filter on a Mac, select the top clip in the timeline then choose Effects > Video Filter > Matte > Mask Shape.

Then open the clip in the viewer and select the Filter tab. There you can adjust the positioning of the mask.

I demonstrate the same mask filter effect for Mac user’s in my “how to blur a face” video, which is here:
