WVU #46 – SpeedBit Video Accelerator Review
One of the most common problems with watching web video is buffering. The video starts, then stops to buffer, then starts, then stops to buffer again.
Up until now, the quickest fix was to get a faster Internet connection. Enter SpeedBit and their new product Video Accelerator. It’s software that you simply download and install…it configures itself automatically…and works on both Windows and Mac.
What does it do? It greatly reduces video buffering problems while increasing download speeds. And the speed of your Internet connection doesn’t matter.
Sound too good to be true? That’s what I thought too. So I tested SpeedBit Video Accelerator out. Watch this video to see what I found.

Terrific stuff. Thanks, Dave.
Nice review Dave. Clean, to the point, objective and fully demonstrated. Thanks for the tip. Keep up the great work.
Great Tip Dave, I bet you used the HFS10 for this video didin’t you?? I think so i can see the sightly improvement from the HV30.
Thanks, Dave.
This application is great!!! I’ve tried it myself, and it’s really works great.
Is it just me or did no one else notice that this is the ONLY video that CONTINUOUSLY is “buffering” in the intro out of this ENTIRE PODCAST DIRECTORY. Maybe it’s because the “HD” is AUTOMATICALLY enabled. It seem more like a “pre-edited” scheme to make you want to buy the accelerator. Bravo affiliate tactic on one hand, but shady on the other!!
@Justin – This video was encoded exactly the same as other other HD videos on this site (i.e. episodes 45, 41, 39 and 38).
And for ALL videos on this site, the HD option is turned on in the player by default.
Furthermore, I am not an affiliate of Video Accelerator, they had no idea I was doing this review and the links I list are straight URL’s to their site.
Finally, Video Accelerator only works with around 150 video sites, like YouTube, etc. It DOES NOT work with this site.
If you are having buffering issues, I suggest you check out my blog post’s on the matter here:
