WVU #50 – Screenr, Free and Easy Screen Recordings That Post Directly To Twitter
Every so often software comes out where the developers get just about everything right. Screenr is one of those applications.
It’s free screen recording software that integrates seamlessly into Twitter. It works on both Windows and Mac. There is nothing to download. Nothing to install. And it couldn’t be any easier to use. The only thing you need to get started immediately is a Twitter account.
And in this video, I share my hands-on review of this very cool software.

ScreenR Looks fantastic and easy… I am going for camptasia soon but this for a few quick vids is cool!
Here’s a question Dave. Will it allow me to play a prerecorded video I did, with sound, screencast it and upload it? It would save a lot of time and I’d be able to ‘tweet’ much more professionally done videos.
Another great video tip for this week!
Your info is always clear and easy to understand without being too boring.
Thank you.
@Chandish – Yes, it will record whatever is playing on your screen. You’d just need to make sure you have your soundcard/computer configured so any screen recording application can record audio from what is playing through your speakers…instead of just your microphone.
Dave, this a very good tip. Very helpful for showing someone how to do something really quickly, if you don’t need to edit heavily. Thanks so much for the great tips!
