In this video I review the Casio Exilim EX-FC100. It’s a point and shoot still photo camera that shoots 9 megapixel images. It also shoots 1280×720 HD video. And to top if off, it also shoots high-speed video at 210, 420 or 1,000 frames per second.
Shooting video at high speed produces super-slow-motion footage. Typical high-speed cameras cost thousands to tens of thousands of dollars. So how good is the high speed footage from the $250 Casio Exilim EX-FC100?
Take a look at my video review to find out.

Great review. Was that you kicking the dummy? Intense…
@ Jeremy – Yes, that was me.
Hi Dave,
just stumbled upon your blog while browsing for great web video-making tips. Great blog, very cool info. I’m seriously considering joining your group once my site is up and running!
One question: How do you use lava mics with this cam? Do you record audio directly to your pc?
Tx for all your tips!
God Bless,
@Manuel – The Exilim doesn’t have an external microphone jack…you must use the cameras built-in mic.
And when shooting at high-speed (slow motion) no audio is recorded period.
