About a month ago I did a video where I demonstrated how to embed your own videos, on your own web site, using the JW Player. Because that tool requires you to download and install things, it can be confusing to some people.
So in this video I introduce you to the BitGravity Player. It’s a free tool that allows you to do the same thing…embed your own videos, on your own web site. But there is nothing to download and install. In fact, with the BitGravity Player, you can have videos on your site in just seconds. Watch my video demonstration to see how.

Dave,
Here’s a subject I do not think you have ever approached.
MakeUp for video production. I am sure the majority of your clients are men and as we are not brought up wearing makeup, despite the necessity of it in film, video and news production because we have been brought in a culture that emphasizes attractiveness, I think your thoughts on this subject would be valuable.
Dave, you’re awesome. (And timely). Was just working on some new video this morning and in the process of downloading the JW player this morning. Thanks for the tips!
Dave, terrific as always. Thanks.
I have a question:
Can I assume that even if BitGravity went out of business, the video would still be viable, since the player is contained in the embed?
Gosh, Dave.
The amount of time you must spend researching these video products … and then give the info away as freebies.
(I understand the marketing ideology behind this, but there are others who would bundle it all up into a DVD, and promote with a $997 price tag!!)
Long may you contine, I say.
Can i upload an FLV HD video on Bitgravity?
What’s the difference between JW, Bitgravity/ Web anatomy?
Is it possible to see video stadistics on bitgravity ?
Autoplay is available in bitgravity?
I want to achieve when the video is finish to redirect to other webpage automatically.
Sorry for to many questions
JP
The pre-roll and post-roll services are incredible!

Preroll? Post roll? and serves from Amazon S3? Damn You are a God-send Dave. Keep up the good work.

@Chandish – Although I don’t have any hard data to back it up, my thoughts are that not too many people would be interested in learning how to or applying make-up for web video.
Web video is a different medium than TV or film…part of it’s attraction is that it provides transparency…you see people as they are instead of someone they are pretending to be.
@ Terry – I would assume so. Really the only thing BitGravity is supplying is the player.
@ Juan – BitGravity supplies exactly what I showed in the video…a player for your videos. It’s a free service.
If you want statistics, conversions, etc., you need to pay for a service that provides those things.
BitGravity is a content delivery network that just happens to be providing the player I showed for free. The JW Player is a video player. Web Anatomy is a video player with a control panel for the backend.
Has any one tried bit gravity in a memberspeed site?
@Sean – BitGravity is an excellent company…one of the best when it comes to video delivery, globally.
But they aren’t cheap when compared to something like Amazon S3.
Wow! Dave, you always create such great content! Thanks so much. Bitgravity doesn’t take the feed of my video and distribute it anywhere else, does it?
Hi,
would like to thank you for this content. The important point was how using “Bitgravity” cost-free.

Hi Dave,
First, thanks for all the great advice, I enjoy reading all of your updates. We are in preproduction to add video to my blog so I am exploring all avenues AND learning a lot from you.
It seems I am missing something very obvious here, but better to ask… I am uncertain about the URL requirement for Bitgravity. If the video is in my computer, and I don’t want to put it on another site like YouTube, where am I grabbing the URL?
@Luci – You’d have to convert the video file to Flash, FTP the Flash file to your web host and then give BitGravity the URL to the video file on your web host.
Thank you Dave. I knew I was missing an obvious step…and a big one! Now I know and it makes sense.
