and the bitgravity keep telling me that insert a valid email address.

So what im doing wrong?

Also im using an FTP file, the player shows the video and everyting its right except for the email address

@Luci – You’d have to convert the video file to Flash, FTP the Flash file to your web host and then give BitGravity the URL to the video file on your web host.

Hi Dave,

First, thanks for all the great advice, I enjoy reading all of your updates. We are in preproduction to add video to my blog so I am exploring all avenues AND learning a lot from you.

It seems I am missing something very obvious here, but better to ask… I am uncertain about the URL requirement for Bitgravity. If the video is in my computer, and I don’t want to put it on another site like YouTube, where am I grabbing the URL?

@Sean – BitGravity is an excellent company…one of the best when it comes to video delivery, globally.

But they aren’t cheap when compared to something like Amazon S3.

@ Juan – BitGravity supplies exactly what I showed in the video…a player for your videos. It’s a free service.

If you want statistics, conversions, etc., you need to pay for a service that provides those things.

BitGravity is a content delivery network that just happens to be providing the player I showed for free. The JW Player is a video player. Web Anatomy is a video player with a control panel for the backend.

@Chandish – Although I don’t have any hard data to back it up, my thoughts are that not too many people would be interested in learning how to or applying make-up for web video.

Web video is a different medium than TV or film…part of it’s attraction is that it provides transparency…you see people as they are instead of someone they are pretending to be.

The amount of time you must spend researching these video products … and then give the info away as freebies.

(I understand the marketing ideology behind this, but there are others who would bundle it all up into a DVD, and promote with a $997 price tag!!)

Here’s a subject I do not think you have ever approached.

MakeUp for video production. I am sure the majority of your clients are men and as we are not brought up wearing makeup, despite the necessity of it in film, video and news production because we have been brought in a culture that emphasizes attractiveness, I think your thoughts on this subject would be valuable.
