@Rafael - There's really no comparison, any Flip-style camera will beat the iPod Nano in terms of video quality.

Hi Dave,

Great review! How does the new iPod nano compare to the Flipcam? Is there any comparison between the 2?

Dave, if you had all the time in the world to set up, would you under ultimate conditions, utilize your expensive Canon Camera camera like you did in the past, or would you still reach for the new Canon Vixia. And is that compressed format of the Vixia equal to the quality of MPEG 2 ? thanks dave as always.

I've been curious about them so I was excited to see your review. I have an iPod nano now from a couple years ago. I think I'll stick with my Canon that does still and video for opportunity shooting.

Dave, I hope this video is not a sign of things to come. Viewing video online is not my preferred method. I download online videos when possible, burn them to disc, and then view them at leisure on a TV. For a number of reasons, flash videos are a pain and I avoid them wherever possible.

Besides, I'm a bit surprised that a video shot with the new iPod has been converted to a video format that's not supported on them or iPhones. Maybe you intended some irony with this? Why not keep it in the format it's shot in or at least convert it to mp4?

Otherwise love your stuff. Keep up the great work.

Nice review Dave, totally agree. Excellent for 'opportunity' shooting. Any idea how it compares with the iPhone 3GS, I would guess it would be pretty similar.

Wow, now I can throw away all my expensive video equipment! :)

Dave, it seems you have used a new player which is pretty neat, with a dimmer, etc. Is this a previous player that has been updated, or an upcoming podcast?
