WVU #58 – The New FTC Rules For Internet Marketers
The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) in the United States recently released new guidelines that directly affect many Internet marketers. These new rules “go live” on December 1, 2009.
In this audio interview, I speak with with Kevin Houchin…an attorney, blogger and author…where Kevin explains what a few of these new rules are and what to do to make sure you are in compliance with them.

Awesome episode. It really helped me understand these new regulations I’ve been hearing about. I posted an article on my blog linking to this episode.
Thanks Dave and Kevin I listened to this explanation twice… No one really goes into foreign i.e any country other than America will their sites be legistlated and how will that be inforced?
The Internet is still a little wild west! with few sherrifs and a lot of territory!
Wow Thanks for taking the mystery out of all rumors and misinformation floating through my inbox. This was extremely helpful. I appreciate that you are all about helping us Dave,
Hmm.. does the FTC rules apply/enforced to people publishing (advertising) from outside the United States?
Andy D.
@ Andy – I don’t know the answer, but I would assume if you were outside of the US and promoting a product through a US based reseller, like ClickBank, then yes.
