The support desk at Video Lightbox say it doesn’t support Amazon S3.

If anyone has a workaround to use it with S3 it would be great if they’d post how.

When I try to add a video from Amazon S3, I get the error;
“Video url is unsupported or invalid”

So if anyone has sussed out how to get S3 videos to work with Video Lightbox, I#d be very grateful of some guidance.

I can’t get it to load. It installs the program but when I try to run it I get the
“Video LightBox has stopped working: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available” ERROR dialog box.
That’s as far as I can go. What gives? Any ideas what’s going on?”

Hello Dave, Love your stuff.

I downloaded video lightbox for my wp website. Can not figure out how to upload it to my WP for the life
of me.
I dont find their directions easy to understand, especially since I’m a newbie in blogs.
but in the past have learned a lot from video tutorials and support
neither of which I find in this site.

Do you know where I can go to get better direction?
I can’t even find YouTube videos on this program.

Wow i just saw that it unlinked my lightbox
images in my tabbed panels that’s strange see what i can do to fix it

Lightbox (for photos, not video)… I guess I assumed the fix for the Spry Tabbed Panel might be similar regardless of if it were video or photo.

Hi Doris first of all i am using Dream weaver cs4 what i did was i went into my tab panel content and in the split view mode i set up a Div u can name it anything you want make sure you are not inside a try tag and give at a class id like video and be sure to give it a width say 550px then what i did was copy and pasted in the Div tag the code from the video HTML that you created from all of your videos that you made in video light box right click on the HTML file and open it up in a text edit something like text wrangler and paste in the code something like this below . And then from the same folder drag and drop the two folders called data and engine into your site root folder of your site then you will see the videos in your page then upload everything to your site with an FTP server Good luck . hope it helped . #videogallery a#videolb{display:none} How to Website Video by VideoLightBox.com v1.7m

Stuart – wondering what your solution was. I have a Lightbox gallery on one page of my site. However, on another page I am building as a storefront, I wanted to add a Lightbox effect to an image in a Spry Tabbed Panel (being built in Dreamweaver). I am using all the same code as in my gallery, but it’s not working on this page for some reason. I’m hoping maybe your solution would work for me, too.

Fantastic i wanted to do this with the JW Player but couldn’t get the xml Play-list to work
is there a way of inserting this into my Dream weaver HTML page in my Spry tabbed panel like putting it in a div tag? Great way for my customers to see my artists at work

Hi Rainer,

Frankly, I haven’t tried it with the free version but I don’t see why the free version would not work with S3. The paid version merely allows you to choose your own watermark, removes the “VideoLightBox.com” credit line and gives you a couple more player options, that’s it.

So the free version should work just fine assuming you understand the not-so-complex technical issues to overcome.

Does anyone know how to convert the free version to the business edition ? I have purchased the business edition as very pleased with the results, I have received a license key via Plimus, but there is nowhere in the software to input this key ! No response from customer support either. Any help appreciated.

I am using the Emicsoft FLV Converter for Mac, because it was only $39 bucks as opposed to sorenstin squeeze at 499

I am curious as to what your settings in your flash videos are for….

Video bitrate = ?
Frame rate = ?
Audio Bit rate = ?
Sample rate = ?

I run at 20fps, video rate 1500kbps, 44100 hz, and 128kps…..most users have no troubles but some do, and the video isnt as highquality as i want it, but i have to keep it at those settings if i want users to be able to watch the videos withouth the loading deal coming up, because their computers are to slow

what are your suggestions?

Great program for local files and Youtube etc. However, just tried to use Amazon S3 links in the index.html code and will not play. Shame – all my videos are uploaded to S3 and would have been nice just to paste the link to the MP4 file in there,. Maybe something for a future release.
