Another awesome video Dave! Great use of chromakeying, the “Gpad” trick was unique, although I liked them all, I have never seen that one before.

Fantastic tip Dave. Once again you da man!!! I Did take your course and anyone who is remotely interested in playing with video needs to take your course. I think I need a refresher because in your course, you talked about how green screening in Vegas Pro had some quirks. Sadly I don’t remember what they were. Could you please create a short video to remind us about the keyframing?

ingenious, creative video tips ….. unfreaken believeable !
I’m telling you … You have a core group of fans that
would pay to here you speak live …. Maybe some of your
inspiration would rub off on us.

This short video just gave me a million ideas for
producing some new videos …. duh … it takes a lot of thinking
outside the box … if you could use a full green screen ..
then maybe you can use a section …..

Search for “chroma key” in the help of your video editing software for detailed instructions…or google it, like “how to chroma key in sony vegas.” Although the way to chroma key varies slightly depending on the software you use, the process is essentially the same across products. You key a color and the software makes it transparent. Any photo or video behind the keyed layer will show through.

Search for “green screen” on YouTube and you’ll find lots of instructional videos. It’s not hard at all. For cheap and fast, just buy some green poster board and tape it together. You can also cut the posterboard/cardboard into different shapes to make things even more interesting.

Green, or any other solid color you want to chroma key. The material being used doesn’t matter, as long as the color is solid and even. Green and blue work best because they are the least like skin tones. Get more info at http://bit.ly/dchp2X
