All you’re really putting on your slides are the main points you want the student to remember. In other words, you are doing the teaching by talking when a slide is shown…the slide isn’t doing the teaching by itself<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\nOnce you’ve got your slide deck setup with all of your lessons, it’s time to record those actual lessons on video<\/strong>. <\/span>How To Record and Edit Your Digital Course Lessons On Windows 10 For Free<\/span><\/h2>\nThis is the part where people start going down the tech-rabbit-hole and spending money that they don’t need to.<\/p>\n
You’ll hear about screen recording tools like Camtasia<\/em>. And you’ll hear about the fancy microphones to use.<\/p>\nYou don’t need that stuff – not for your very first digital course<\/strong>. The free screen recording software already on your computer, along with your computer’s built-in mic will work just fine (I promise, you won’t make any more or less money by using these).<\/p>\nIn the case of Windows 10, it comes packaged with a little-known feature called Game Bar<\/strong><\/em>. You are going to use this to record your video lessons.<\/p>\nGame Bar<\/em> was intended for video-game-nerds who wanted to record their Xbox gameplay, but it works perfectly fine for making screen recordings of your lesson slide deck too.<\/p>\nOf course you’ll also need to edit your videos (you’ll make plenty of mistakes while recording your videos that you’ll want to cut out). To edit your videos, you’re going to use the Photos<\/strong><\/em> app on Windows 10.<\/p>\nPhotos<\/em> is an app most people think can only edit photos. Wrong.
