{"id":399,"date":"2009-08-17T15:23:12","date_gmt":"2009-08-17T19:23:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webvideouniversity.com\/blog\/?p=399"},"modified":"2009-08-17T15:23:12","modified_gmt":"2009-08-17T19:23:12","slug":"quick-look-newbluefx-video-essentials-for-sony-vegas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webvideouniversity.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/17\/quick-look-newbluefx-video-essentials-for-sony-vegas\/","title":{"rendered":"Quick Look &#8211; NewBlueFX Video Essentials For Sony Vegas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NewBlueFX<\/strong> is one of the few video effects filter providers for <strong>Sony Vegas<\/strong>.\u00a0 And some of their most useful filters are contained in their <em><strong>Video Essentials<\/strong><\/em> packages.<\/p>\n<p>These filters integrate seamlessly into Vegas and can be accessed like any other filter through the VideoFX tab in Vegas:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/webvideouniversity.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/blog_newblue1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And like any other filter in Vegas, all you need to do is drag the filter on top of any event in your timeline.<\/p>\n<p>But unlike most other filters in Vegas, the <strong>NewBlueFX Video Essentials<\/strong> filters have extremely easy to use and intuitive settings that allow you to tweak the filters however you&#8217;d like:<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/webvideouniversity.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/blog_newblue2.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>NewBlueFX offers two different Video Essentials packages (named 1 and 2).\u00a0 Each contain around 10 different filters for things like green screen, color correction, flash remover, noise reducer, picture in picture and more.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look at just a few of these filters in action:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Color EQ Filter Before and After<br \/>\n<\/strong><img src=\"http:\/\/webvideouniversity.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/blog_newblueve1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Picture in Picture (with reflection) Before and After<\/strong><br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/webvideouniversity.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/blog_newblueve2.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pixelator Before and After<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/webvideouniversity.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/blog_newblueve3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"162\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While all of these things could be done in Vegas without Video Essentials, the idea behind filters is to speed your workflow.\u00a0 In the examples above, all I did was drag the filter to the event on the timeline.
