OoVoo Releases New Version of Popular Video Chat Software, Mac User’s No Long Short-Changed

O

This morning OoVoo announced the release of OoVoo 2.1, the latest incarnation of their popular, high-quality video chat software.  I have previously posted about OoVoo here.

What’s notable about this release is that Mac user’s finally get the full treatment.  The Mac version of OoVoo had been in beta for quite a while, but now it’s “official” and on-par with everything Windows user’s can do, such as:

  • Video Calls that allow you to chat with non-OoVoo user’s
  • Embeddable Video Call Rooms for your web site or blog
  • Video Sidebar mode which let’s you move your video chat to a sidebar, freeing up your desktop
  • Special Effects…where you can dice up your video chats

Most software companies seem to ignore Mac user’s, telling them to run Windows on their Mac’s instead.  So the addition of a full-blown version of OoVoo for Mac user’s means the company is definitely paying attention to public demand.  Which is a smart thing.
