At last weekends South by Southwest conference, experts gave a presentation on what makes a video go viral. And the experts happened to be people who have made and continue to make viral videos. The panel included Damian Kulash of OK Go (72+ million video views) and Jason Wishnow of TEDTalks (35+ million video views). In other words, people who walk the talk.
Of the tips they offered, a couple stood out as the most often ignored; video production value (your videos don’t have to be Hollywood good, but they fare better with quality production) and make your videos easy to share (make it simple for people to embed your videos).
