Google Releases HTML5Rocks.com In Response To Apple’s HTML5 Showcase Page

HTML5 has been six years in the making.  After all that time, it’s still far from becoming a web standard…or even having it’s own standards.  HTML5 video has recently drawn a lot of attention to HTML5 in general and Apple released an HTML5 showcase demonstrating the cool things that could be done with it.  Problem was, the page only worked in Safari.  In response, Google has released their own HTML5 showcase page that happens to work in all HTML5 compliant browsers.

The site contains examples of what can be done in HTML5, step by step tutorials and code samples.  Though not as dazzling as Apple’s site, because it happens to work in all HTML5 compatible browsers, it is more useful…especially for those wanting to dive into HTML5.

Google’s site is cleverly called HTML5Rocks.com and includes video samples.  You can visit it by clicking here.
