It was supposed to be a traditional wedding in Fullerton, California for Samuel Kim and Helen Oh. Then the groom got a lung infection and was placed in isolation at a hospital. Would they postpone the wedding? No way, not with 500 guests scheduled to attend. So they did an iWedding, using Skype.
The bride was at the church, with all the guests, the bridesmaids, the groomsmen…standing alone at the alter in her white dress. The groom was in his hospital room, wearing a tux. And on the wall of the church were giant-TV screens. The groom was pipped onto those screens via Skype. That’s how the bride and the guests saw and heard him. He monitored everything on his end from a laptop in his hospital room.
