Digital Cribs – How Web Video Is Changing The Face Of Business

D

Just about every week I publish a free web video tip (done through video)…and long ago, in one of my video tips, I talked about using web video to create transparency…that is, giving your audience a behind-the-scenes-look at your business or life.  I also talked about the importance of doing this NOW with your business, especially with the way the web is evolving.

Turns out I wasn’t crazy.

You see, now enterprise-level businesses are using web video to create transparency too.  A case in point, the networking giant Cisco.  They’ve recently released a new series called Digital Cribs.  Similar to the popular “Cribs” show on MTV, Digital Cribs gives a behind the scenes look into the lives of some popular online personalities…and even a professional basketball player.  Of course the tie-in with Cisco here is that computer networking doesn’t have to be hard…anyone can do it…and the Digital Cribs show proves it.

If you’d like to check out Digital Cribs (recommended) just click here.

But Cisco is not alone in this whole web video/transparency thing.  Dell Computers is doing it too.  They are combining various forms of social networking, along with video, to showcase what can be done with laptop computers.  They call it Digital Nomads and you can check it out here (notice there’s not a Dell logo anywhere on the site).

Again, the whole point of transparency is to take the corporate face off your business…so people stop identifying you as just a logo, an email address or a business card.  And it’s a very powerful tool.  So let me repeat it again.  If you’re not using it, start.  Twelve months from now you’ll be glad you did.
