TokBox, a popular video chat and video messaging service, has recently introduced TokBox Broadcast, a service that essentially combines video conferencing with viewer participation.
With TokBox Broadcast, you can have video chats with up to 12 people…while up to an additional 200 people can watch. You can swap out any of those 200 people with one of the 12, bringing audience members into the chat on demand.
For example, let’s say you’re giving a presentation on tax strategies, where it’s you and a panel of experts. The audience can watch the live video chat between you and the experts. Whenever someone in the audience has a question, you can bring them into one of the 12 video chat spots, so they can ask their question live, via video.
ToxBox Broadcast runs $18.99 per video chat…and they also offer a free, basic video chat and messaging service. All the details are on their site, here.
