Until now, the only way to get paid by placing your videos on YouTube was through their partner program, where YouTube displays ad’s on your videos and shares any revenue generated from them. But that’s changed with the new YouTube partner grant program.
YouTube has set aside $5 million in grant money…which will be given away in small chunks to web video producers who YouTube deems worthy. Grant winners can use the money to get better video cameras, better computers or anything else that will help them produce better videos.
