ComScore has released the latest web video viewership statistics for July 2010. And not surprisingly, Google (owners of YouTube) dominated the pack. Here’s a run down of the notable numbers:
- 85% of the U.S. Internet audience watched web videos
- The average video duration was 4.8 minutes
- Video ads accounted for 9.8% of all views
- American’s viewed 3.6 billion video ads in total
- Google/YouTube had 143.2 million unique viewers
- Yahoo had 55.1 million unique viewers for second place
- Facebook was number three with 46.6 million unique viewers
- When it came to running video ads, Hulu was #1 with 783 million video ad impressions
