Sony Vegas Pro 10 Users Now Have Access To Professional Effects Plugins

S

There are lots of video effect plugins available.  The problem for Sony Vegas users has always been that hardly any of these plugin packages work with Vegas…they are designed for other platforms like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut.  But Vegas Pro 10 utilizes the Open Effects Association platform, allowing it to access video effects plugins it previously couldn’t.

And the first effects package designed for Sony Vegas Pro 10 users is now available, called Boris Continuum Complete 7 for Sony Vegas Pro 10.

Continuum Complete offers over 140 visual effects with a minimal (to no) learning curve.  Aside from the standard “film look” and “make it look like a cartoon” effects that nearly all packages offer, Continuum also offers some effects that are actually useful.  Like a professional green screen/chroma key plugin.  An automated motion tracking plugin, which allows you to do things like blur out text on a T-shirt without having to create a million keyframes to track the movement.  And image restoration tools, which allow you to fix skin imperfections or remove unwanted visual noise from video.

Boris Continuum Complete 7 for Sony Vegas Pro 10 retails for $995 (told you, these are professional plugins).  But until November 19, 2010 it’s available for just $595.  And fully functioning 14 day trials are available.  Click here to go to the Boris site.
