You’ll soon be able to watch video-on-demand through select LG TV’s…via Vudu.
With these new LG TV’s (available in August on their Netcast models), the popular Vudu set-top-box will be built directly in the TV’s.
If you’re not familiar with Vudu, their aforementioned set-top-box allows you to access thousands of movies, television shows and web videos, directly from your TV.
This is yet another step in the cycle of web video…where content is traveling from the web to televisions (Sony and Samsung have already inked deals for their televisions with Blockbuster and Netflix).
Because of this cycle, I fully expect web video content producers to follow suit; where our audiences won’t have to go online to watch our videos…rather they will be able to instantly (and easily) just watch our videos on their TV’s.
