No matter what type of web video you’re producing, you’ll often find yourself in need of using stock video clips. Thankfully, there are no shortage of stock video clip sources on the Internet (unlike a few years ago).
You simply go to a site like iStockPhoto or RevoStock, do a search using keywords and you instantly have dozens of clips to choose from for your project.
Problem is, all these clips cost money.
But there is a web site where you can download stock video clips for free. All of these clips are in the public domain and can be used without cost or any royalty fees. And while the quality of these clips may not be perfect, there are tens of thousands of them to choose from.
The site is called the Internet Archive. The user-interface for this site is a bit outdated, it will take some digging and the site isn’t necessarily the fastest around. But if you have more time than money, it’s an excellent place to find stock video clips for your project (again, for free).
You can check out the Internet Archive for yourself by clicking here.
