To show just how powerful user-generated video has become, you now have the opportunity to win $1,000,000 just for producing a 30-second video for Doritos.
Here’s how it works. You make your 30-second commercial for Doritos. You submit it to them. If selected, it will appear during this year’s Super Bowl (where you’ll be attending too, by the way).
Then, if your video is selected “best of the Super Bowl” by USA Today, you’ll be given a cool one-million dollars. What if your video makes it to the Super Bowl…but it doesn’t win? Well, 5 runners-up will receive payments of $25,000.
Maybe you think there’s no way you could put together a video about Doritos that could make it all the way to the Super Bowl…let alone win $25,000 or the $1 million dollar grand prize. Well, think again.
I’ve said it 1,000 times; there are no rules when it comes to video these day. And my guess is, whoever wins the thing is going to do so with a video that no high-powered ad agency could have ever dreamed up. In other words, the winning video is likely going to be very original.
So why not submit a video and try? For more information on the contest, just go here.
P.S. The deadline to submit your video is November 16, 2008.

Great Post!!! i checked out the competition. there are a few really good ones up there. My favorite though is the one titled “Napkins”. Holy Mackerel, I laughed so hard. that has to be a superbowl commercial.
