Well, this is going to start a new trend. Craig Rowin, a New York based comic, put a video on YouTube asking for any random millionaire to give him one million dollars. He wasn’t going to do anything high and mighty with the money, he just wanted someone to give him a million bucks. And allegedly, someone did.
His millionaire benefactor hasn’t been revealed…he has only produced a notarized letter from the millionaire’s attorney. And he is scheduled to receive his million dollar check on February 2nd.
The mainstream media has picked up the story, so in a short time we’ll get to see if the story is for real (and what the millionaire benefactors angle is)…if it’s a viral campaign…or both. In the meantime, below is a look at the video Craig Rowin posted. Expect a flood of copycats to soon follow.

These videos of Craig are brilliant. Whether he was serious, or even believed it could happen, is besides the point.
Craig is a comic/writer/performer who created a string of short films.
These videos are expertly done and promote him (and the UCB Theatre) in a way that money can’t buy. Even better that his request paid off.
It’s marketing and an example of excellent use of video to promote oneself.
Good for you, doing what many wish they could or would do. If you wish to do so, after you get your 1 or multi-million dollars, you could share it with my wife and I, just a thought ?

I don’t know if I would want to be known as ‘the kid that beg for a million dollars’. I would say this is a hoax of some sort to get the video more exposure.
Beg or not, most likely if you got the 1,000,000. you would not care what others thought about how you obtained it.
Good for you Craig. At least you are kid with guts. I hope you enjoy the money.
OMG! you are one lucky guy man! Props to you and your idea though..
